500 Hyde Park homes at center of mapping debate

By Rontina McCann – bio | email

CINCINNATI (FOX 19) - Five hundred homes and the Hyde Park Country Club are at the center of a mapping debate.

An area called Hyde Park East, off of Erie on Hampton Lane, Forest Hills, Broadview Drive and Country Club Drive, is all in the Oakley community, according to one map.

The Cincinnati Community Council map is what the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) uses to classify where homes are listed for sale on its web site. On that map the area in question is in Oakley, not Hyde Park.

Even though the homeowners there say historically this area is considered Hyde Park and they pay taxes on property values in the Hyde Park area.
