Kids play piano for Ronald McDonald House today | Arts & Culture
CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Who would have guessed Ronald McDonald was a classical music fan? The cultured corporate clown will be stopping by four different book and music stores all around town today as kids take part in a "Piano Play-a-Thon" to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.
In past years, the kids have raised enough money to procide the Ronald Mcdonald House near Children's Hospital with a piano, a garden, and new playground equipment.
The event tales place every two years. The piano students have been raising pledges and practicing their selections since November.
Here are this year's times and locations:
Joseph-Beth Booksellers, Rookwood, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Willis Music, Tri-County Mall, 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Kathy's Happy Organs and Pianos, Northgate Mall, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Barnes & Noble, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The Ronald Mcdonald House is next to Children's Hospital in Avondale and provides a temporary home for the families of children who are in the hospital.
